Home Depot 2026 Halfway to Halloween animatronics display featuring skeleton knight, T-Rex, undead horse, and witch props with fog and LED lighting

Home Depot’s 2026 Halfway to Halloween Drop: Every New Animatronic Ranked

It’s officially Code Orange — Home Depot just dropped its 2026 Halfway to Halloween collection, and it’s the biggest early-season release they’ve ever done. Fourteen new animatronics and props are available online right now, in limited quantities, with supplies going fast.

If you’ve been holding out for the full Halloween drop (usually late July or August), some of these are worth grabbing early. Here’s everything in the 2026 Halfway to Halloween lineup, plus our takes on what’s worth the investment.

What Is Halfway to Halloween?

Halfway to Halloween — sometimes called Halfoween — falls around April 30, six months before October 31. Home Depot has been dropping limited early collections since 2022, and each year the lineup gets bigger. This is their fifth and largest early drop yet. Items are one-per-customer and will not be restocked once they sell out, so if something catches your eye, don’t sleep on it.

Every Item in Home Depot’s 2026 Halfway to Halloween Collection

5-Foot Hearse Animatronic — $399

A skeleton-driven hearse with one bony figure at the wheel and another riding in back. A scene-setter with serious curb appeal for anyone building a cemetery or Victorian display.

9-Foot LED T-Rex Prop — $399

A monstrous dinosaur prop at nine feet tall. Not a traditional Halloween character, but this thing will absolutely terrorize the neighborhood. Big, bold, and impossible to miss.

7-Foot App-Controlled Lethal Lily the Witch — $299

A returning fan favorite, now upgraded with the same app technology that debuted on Ultra Skelly last year. Control her movements from your phone — this is one of the most tech-forward pieces in the collection and a standout buy.

8.5-Foot Knight Frostbane Animatronic — $399

An armored skeleton knight standing 8.5 feet tall with LED lighting. The Frostbane name hints at an icy, gothic aesthetic — a strong anchor piece for anyone going dark and dramatic this season.

4.5-Foot Cabernet Casualty Animatronic — $199

A more compact, entry-level animatronic at a budget-friendly price point. Great for porch setups or layering into a larger display without the heavy investment.

4.5-Foot Color Changing LED Groundbreaker — $199

A groundbreaker prop with color-changing LED effects. These work especially well rising out of leaf beds or fog-covered ground scenes.

6.5-Foot Maleficent Animatronic — $279

Disney fans, this one’s for you. A towering Maleficent animatronic that fits into gothic, fairy tale dark, or villain-themed displays. Home Depot has been expanding its Disney collaborations and this is a strong addition.

8.5-Foot Undead Horse Animatronic — $249

A skeletal horse rearing up on its hind legs at 8.5 feet. Pair this with the Hearse for a full funeral procession scene — the combination would be incredible in a large yard display.

5.5-Foot Skeleton Pony Prop — $129

A smaller, more affordable take on the skeleton horse at $129. A solid choice for tighter budgets or as a companion piece in a larger animal-themed setup.

6-Foot Neon Nightmare Clown Animatronic — $179

Clown animatronics are always a crowd-pleaser (or crowd-terrorizer), and the neon aesthetic gives this one a carnival horror feel that’s right on trend for 2026.

6-Foot Checkmate Chuckles Clown Animatronic — $179

A second clown with a chess-inspired name and what we’re imagining is a jester-meets-nightmare design. Two clown options at the same price point — collectors may want both for a full carnival scene.

7-Foot Horrifying Hops Animatronic — $199

The name “Hops” suggests a creature prop — possibly rabbit or frog-inspired, which would be a wild and genuinely unsettling direction. Watch for this one to go viral on TikTok.

6.5-Foot Snarling Snowman Animatronic — $199

A horror snowman for the Halloween-in-spring crowd. The snarling detail puts this firmly in the nightmare category rather than the friendly holiday zone.

6.5-Foot Pumpkin Vine Creature Prop — $129

A creature prop woven into pumpkin vines at the most affordable price point in the collection. Great for garden or graveyard setups and a natural fit for a harvest horror theme.

Where’s Skelly?

The question on every haunter’s mind: Skelly is not part of the Halfway to Halloween drop this year. Home Depot confirmed he’s returning for 2026 with a major upgrade — app-controlled servo motor movement, 20 different LED eye options, and voice modulation via smartphone. He’ll arrive later in the year with the full Halloween collection. Worth the wait.

Our Top Picks From the Drop

Best statement piece: 9-Foot T-Rex ($399) — nothing else in a neighborhood comes close.
Best tech upgrade: 7-Foot App-Controlled Lethal Lily ($299) — app control at this price is genuinely impressive.
Best scene-builder combo: Hearse ($399) + Undead Horse ($249) — instant funeral procession.
Best budget pick: Pumpkin Vine Creature ($129) — versatile, thematic, and easy to work into any display.

Act Fast — These Will Sell Out

Home Depot’s Halfway to Halloween drops have historically sold out within days. Items are limited to one per customer. The full 2026 Halloween collection typically hits online in late July or early August, but these 14 pieces won’t be available then — this is your only window.
